Being the outdoorsy, adventure types, we're a huge fan of outdoor weddings (well, when the weather is nice). Needless to say, Kayla and Christian's wedding was right up our alley. Their wedding day had so much energy that we could hardly stand it. You could feel the anticipation and anxious energy build as the long-awaited ceremony approached. The anxious energy quickly turned into the most overwhelming celebration after the ceremony. If you don't believe it, just watch until the end of the video to see all the fun!
The Venue //
The Ribault Club in north Florida delivers a truly elegant experience. The large waterfront property on Fort George Island really gives you a sense of escape and tranquility to enjoy all the happenings during your wedding day distraction free! Kayla and Christian's ceremony took place on the lawn amidst the welcoming branches of a beautiful oak tree.
I - Carson, the emotional brother - have a really deep meaningful explanation of why trees are a cool metaphor for marriage, which I talked about in Chelsey and Blake's wedding blog if you're interested in reading
The Proposal //
Let us shoot your proposal. It makes your video so much better. If not us, get somebody to video your proposal and then give it to us to use in your wedding video. We love telling as much of your story as possible, and the proposal is a great way to highlight the start of the wedding journey!
Check out this video for another proposal!
The First Look //
Christian saw Kayla for the first time when she walked down the aisle, and it was by far the best moment of the day. Many couples opt for a first look or a first touch before the ceremony, which is a super intimate experience and we absolutely love capturing them. But this wedding really shows the benefits of not having the "first look" moment ahead of time. The raw, natural, unedited (all those words mean the same thing) reaction is so perfect.
Honestly, I usually get teary eyed while editing and this one was no different. I was in a puddle on the floor.
